Freshdesk automatically assigns the requester's profile language by checking the first 15 words in the first email your customer sends to raise a ticket in your helpdesk. All subsequent notifications sent to this requester will be in their profile language, provided this language is one of the supported languages in your helpdesk. You can also manually edit the profile language of a user by editing their details from the contacts or agents page. 


Please follow the below steps to change the notification language of a requester:

  1. Login to your Freshdesk account as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to the People icon in the left pane and select Contacts.

  3. Click on the Edit button next to the contact whose language needs to be updated.

  4. Under the Language dropdown list, choose the preferred language of the customer.

  5. Click Save.


    Change the notification language of a requester


Please follow the below steps to change the notification language of an agent:

  1. Login to your Freshdesk account as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to the Admin icon in the left pane and select Agents.

  3. Click on the Edit button next to the name of the agent whose language you wish to edit.

  4. Under the Language dropdown list, choose the preferred language of the agent.

  5. Click Save.
