Note: This article is only applicable for customers who have installed the Freshdesk for Salesforce App which is deprecated and currently not available in Marketplace.
To continue using the Freshdesk-Salesforce integration without interruptions, you’ll need to uninstall the current app and reinstall it from the Freshdesk Apps or Marketplace page. Follow the steps below to complete the process:
- Go to the Admin settings (gear icon on the left nav bar)
- In the search bar, type "Apps" and click on the Apps option that appears.
- In the Apps page that appears, click Manage Apps.
- Under the Installed Apps tab, click Settings near the app with the name Freshdesk for Salesforce
- In the drop-down that appears, click Uninstall App
- The Freshdesk for Salesforce app will be uninstalled in a few seconds
To reinstall the Salesforce app:
- Find your Freshdesk domain name
Look at your Freshdesk URL in the browser. For example, if your URL is:
https://salesforce-help.freshdesk.com/...
Then your domain name is salesforce-help - Replace yourdomain in the link below with your actual domain name:
https://yourdomain.freshdesk.com/a/admin/marketplace/gallery?route=app&id=10&utmCampaign=REC_EXIST_CUST
Using the example above, the final link would be:
https://salesforce-help.freshdesk.com/a/admin/marketplace/gallery?route=app&id=10&utmCampaign=REC_EXIST_CUST
- Copy the updated link and paste it into your browser to open the app installation page.
- You will land on the Freshdesk for Salesforce app page
- Click Install. You will be prompted to log in to your Salesforce account (If not already logged in)
- Approve Freshdesk app if prompted.
- You will be taken to the app configuration page
- Select the Contact, Account, Lead, and opportunity fields you want to show in Salesforce widget and click Update
